Seek and Revive Vintage Kilo Sale

Blazer - H&M // Jeans - Topshop // Shoes - Office // T-Shirt - Topshop // Hat - Vintage // Bag - Next
Heeeeello. So on Saturday I went to the Seek and Revive vintage kilo sale in East London. I've heard about these kind of sales before but unfortunately had never went so thought I would give it a go. There are lots of these kind of events around London, some of which you pay for the bag (£10 or £20) and just go around filling it up with as much stuff as you can! However, this event was £15 for a kilo! So on average it was about 3/4 things depending on the weight obviously. I got 7 things and only paid £30 so it was a bargain! I mean the hat for starters, you would probably pay something like £25 for in Topshop. So yeah. Bargain.
I took my boyfriend who spent a grand total of 15 minutes grabbing as many 80s retro colourful ski jackets and shell suit jackets (hiya Joey Essex.) LOL. I've thrown them into a corner in our flat. Fortunately, he doesn't plan on wearing them but is going to sell them on eBay. Phew.
When I hear about these kind of sales, I always picture rails and rails packed into a warehouse with thousands of people fighting over the best pieces. But this was great, it was set out perfectly, all the rails around the side with 'cast off' cages in the middle so I didn't find myself fighting with anyone. There were a few people who would be on one end of the rail and me at the other end who would push all the clothes my way so I could hardly look at anything, I'm like, seriously. No respect. You really do have to be in the mood for it. Especially to go rummaging in the cages but you must persist - that's where I found the hat so I got lucky! The venue is really cool with a nice outdoor terrace and they had a DJ playing so it really did set the tone of the day. I got there super early to nab all the best bits but then again, that's best to me. One man's junk may be another man's treasure an' all! Anyway, the next event is on the 1st June so get yourselves down there!! Jo xxxx

Hey guuuuuys! Soooo how exciting is this?! I went to the Claire's Accessories web launch party to celebrate them launching online! Woohoo! I think, without fail, every girl has bought something from Claire's Accessories - they literally cater for everyone and every style. I like to go in and just look at all the colourful things but now that they have a website - I will be oogling from behind my PC too. The party was definitely a night to remember, and one I won't forget. I met up with the beautiful Lucy for some Yo Sushi! (which I kept pronouncing YO SHUSHI!) I have never had it before and at the mention of the word shushi...SUSHI...see there I go again, I was a bit sceptical. I am so fussy (one of those annoying people that says they hate things when they haven't even tried it!) BUT I loved it nomnom and will definitely be going back. Yay.
So on the night, there was yet again copious amounts of champagne flowing, lots of beautiful people and acoustic sets from Conor Maynard and Delilah. As usual, I ventured into the photobooth for some dress up fun. Obviously. There were many celebs on the night, I chatted to a few but didn't really know what to say! I always think I'll be calm and relaxed when meeting celebrities, but most likely came across as a rambling fool. HA. But everyone was so nice, Conor Maynard is also such a cutie and what a voice!! It was so nice to see all the lovely bloggers again as always, we had such a great time. Thanks to Lucy for some action snaps - I exhausted my battery (cries) and took most of them on my phone which is why the lighting is a bit weird. But I kinda like it! Thanks to everyone who organised the event and made it such a success and a night to remember. You definitely launched the website in style!
I'm off to the Seek and Revive kilo event tomorrow at the Oval Space in Bethnal Green - come along if you're in London, tweet me for deets if you fancy. £15 for a kilo of clothes - don't mind if I do! Much love xxxx

I Want to be a Hippie

T-Shirt - Topshop // Shorts - Urban Outfitters // Boots - Dune // Necklace - Forever 21 // Bag - Next // Hat - Bought in Greece // Sunglasses - Ray ban
Soooo the sun has been out all weekend and looks like it is going to be just as nice this week too, yay! It's been a while since I've done a proper outfit post, but as the sun was out I couldn't resist! You may have seen I did a similar 'festival inspired' style post last year here, so this is kind of similar. Again, no festivals for me this year as my boyfriend and I are doing a Florida type road trip, exploring Orlando then driving down to Miami, so need to save massively. Very excited! This outfit is pretty simple, but the odd accessory can change it's whole look. Absolutely loving these cut out shoulder t-shirts from Topshop. I got it in grey and black and want more colours!! The boots are fricking ancient and a bit bashed up but I guess it adds to the whole festival look. Anyhoo, I hope you like! You can follow me on twitter: @jorandall86 and instagram too: @jorandall86. Cut Out Shoulder Tee - Topshop
Leigh Jeans - Topshop
Necklaces - Forever 21
Shoes - Office (£5 in the sale!!)
Bag - eBay
Hi lovelies!! So I can't sit still and I am squealing with excitement even as I write this post as I relive the Next Press Office take over which I attended last night. Next seriously know how to throw a good party. You may have seen my post on the Next Lock in here which was the first proper event that I had ever attended! I was so scared and nervous not knowing anybody and so when I attended last night's event I could tell immediately just how much I have grown in confidence when attending blogger events. I don't know what I was so scared about in the first place! I hung out with the most amazing people you will ever meet all night! It was so nice to see OliviaClaudia and Banke who I hadn't seen since like way before November or something last year! I also met Camilla, ShereeSian who were sooo nice! Also, so so nice to see Laura, Lucy and Becca again!
Anyway, I LOVED Next's new collection - especially their range of footwear for the Spring season. We were given tags, similar to the previous event, to tag our best picks. I found it really hard to choose (most indecisive person ever) but as I went around again looking at my picks, it was clear that I am crying out for some serious festival lovin'! Gladiator sandals, fringed bags, crochet dresses - literally want it to be summer now. They had a DJ playing all the 90s hits (S Club 7, B*Witched, Backstreet Boys, gaaaah, I was transported back in time and loved every minute of it.) I also ended up spending a LOT of time in the photo booth, chasing the champagne topper upper (??) around, filling up my pick n' mix bag and just generally being silly. Sometimes, you just have to be.
I got a little bit snap happy so apologies for overloading you with so many pictures, but this pretty much sums up the night - throw in copious amounts of champagne, a gay dance off and an accidental head smashing on the tube - it was a great night!! More soon lovelies xxx
