High Street Fashion Week

Hey guys! So, now that LFW has passed us, it's time for us to get even more excited about High Street FW! I was lucky enough to bag some press passes and cannot contain the excitement! I love everything high street, and what's more, I love coming across new brands to see what they have to offer. As much as I love shopping on the high street, it's always nice to shop around and look to brands that we are perhaps not as familiar with. High Street Fashion Week will showcase the latest collections of exceptional up and coming high street retailers, independent retailers and e-tailers. The event will be taking place over three days from 26-28th April 2013 and is divided into two parts.
There will be a pop up boutique based in Box Park the world’s first pop up mall in Shoreditch, allowing the general public
to shop the latest brands. So, this post is a little taster of just some of the brands. A variety of amazing catwalk shows, showcasing individual brands will also take place throughout the day. The latter part of the event brings high street couture to the catwalk in an exclusive VIP fashion show, hosted in the glamorous Aura Mayfair nightclub, which will see a combination of the brands hit the runway. There will also be celebrity appearances and the opportunity to be made over by the same team who will style the runway models. It is definitely a weekend not to be missed!

Frills by AD is a brand launched by Britain and Ireland and
America’s Next Top Model finalist; Annaliese Davis. The whole concept of the frilly socks stemmed from thinking back to our school days, when our school uniform was never really quite complete without our frilly socks! They have been making a massive come back lately, but Frills by AD offers some quirky and funky designs that really do add a touch of individuality to any outfit. I'm so excited to check these out on the day! I do love jazzing up a boring pair or sneaks with some frills! Check out their website here.
Elisha Francis, proud sponsors of the MOBO Awards VIP goodie bags. Inspired by vintage glamour, her designs are timeless pieces made using semi-precious stones, swarovski crystals and freshwater pearls. Check out their website here.

Lillies of the Alley is a brand showcasing unique customised t-shirts. It all started off with passers by complimenting Nat's customised T's; Nat simply wanted to make designs that no-one else wore, bringing an element of her families Rock N' Roll, music industry background and, in short, putting it on her chest! The Tees caught the eye of a Topshop buyer, giving Nathalie the chance to showcase five of her design pieces under the Lollipop boutique name at Topshop Oxford Circus. Working with Topshop & Arcadia gave Nathalie a platform for expanding her designs from t-shirts to a brand status- watch out for the hoodies, jumpers, baby-grows and much more! Collections have since featured in GQ & HUBYO & are now available to buy online at their official online store here as well as their boutiques at Runway Republic & Asos Marketplace.

Roxie Sweetheart's unique jewellery range. Be ready for lots of glitter, brightly coloured chunky chains and diamante embellishments!
Street Princess is a new and exciting fashion jewellery brand founded by London based designer Naheeda. Street Princess brings you an assortment of gorgeous handmade bracelets in a rainbow of dazzling colours. Not to mention they also offer a free bespoke service where you can choose your own bracelet design and as many charms as you want! From neon to pastels and stars to skulls, there’s a style to suit everyone. Street Princess bracelets will never go out of fashion; they are timeless and can be worn singly or stacked together for a daring layered look. The Street Princess girl is stylish, young at heart and makes the jewellery her own by incorporating it into her style. Mix and match the bracelets to create your very own arm-candy collection. This is right up my street what with my obsession with bracelets lately! Check out their website here.
BagzaCharacter have only been going since a couple of months before Christmas and has grown incredibly in the last few months mainly through the facebook page here and word of mouth. The designer has also created a generic character to run along side the bespoke service, the character Betsy-Blossom can be tailored with 4-5 choices of dress, hair colour and style, favourite colours etc. The bespoke work will continue as an alternative choice where customers work with the designer to create the perfect bag.

Not only does High Street Fashion Week promise us something unique and different, they have an incredible team providing what can only be described as an immense experience in their VIP suite. The team behind the suite consists of Vanity Van; My Chocolate and Megabooth. I literally want a Megabooth in my back garden (if I had one) or just in my flat would be nice. Slightly impractical but it looks like a hella lotta fun!
Those with VIP tickets can book themselves complimentary beauty treatments!
