Review: The Sanctuary Spa Products

So ladies, here's a review for ya. A variety of products from The Sanctuary Spa, the UK'S most loved spa.  I thought I would give them a go and after a long and stressful week - these products have definitely helped to relax me and give me that 'spa' feeling without the need to leave the house.  This Gift box is available from their website, here, and is a bargain at £16. Definite value for money.
Beautiful packaging. The perfect Christmas gift.
This ex-foliating sea salt scrub definitely did what it says on the tin. Unlike some of the salt scrubs I use that often leave my skin feeling quite dry, this one left my skin feeling incredibly polished and perfectly nourished due to the almond oil it contains.  It doesn't melt away too quickly as well, giving your skin a good old scrub, which is why it leaves you feeling very moisturised. However, it may not be suitable for sensitive skin.  I would say one sachet was enough for around five applications, but then again, it depends on how much you want to use each time.
I don't normally use body butter, I can often be really lazy when it comes to taking care of my skin, but this award-winning body butter was the perfect finish after a good scrub with the sea salt.  The smell is also not overpowering either which is what you need. The last thing you want is to come out of the bathroom smelling like you've just used a whole bottle of perfume.  I love the 'spa' like smell with hints of coconut.  I don't get to go to spas much (in fact, I've been...oh wait, never) but these products definitely give you the essence of luxury.
This luxury bath float will give you clouds of bubbles with a sensual oriental fragrance. I don't know about you, but I don't really think about the 'moisturising' element when buying bubble bath. I just want the bubbles! And a nice scent. Maybe that's why I come out of the bath and there's not so much as a hint of fragrance because I'm not thinking about the products I'm buying. So, maybe I should actually rethink my 'bathing' strategy from now on.  After using the bath float, I got the bubbles and the scent, but left feeling much more relaxed. There's something about oriental fragrance that just instantly relaxes you. Not to mention how smooth and silky my skin felt afterwards. Normally, Mr Bubblebath tends to leave me feeling a little bit dry.
So I don't really tend to use body scrubs, and after using the sea salt scrub the other day, I was a bit hesitant to use this however, it is really gentle and not as harsh as the salt scrub.   All of the products have the same scent really, apart from the body butter: the sensual oriental fragrance. Beautiful.
This was probably my favourite product out of the little box of treasures. This body wash cleanses and revitalises your skin due to the little moisturising bubbles that are bursting with jocoba oil.  I really did feel like I'd just been to the spa after using this.  When applying, I was suddenly transported to a far away place.  You know how scents can suddenly bring back memories? This certainly gave me that relaxing holiday feel of lying the beach.  It's weird. And no I don't mean it smells of sun tan cream. It's much more luxurious than that.  With the blend of essential oils and spices your skin is left feeling fresh and nourished. Check out The Sanctuary Spa's website, here.

Laughing in the Purple Rain

Velvet Blazer - Nungapunga
Boots - Vintage
Leather Skater Dress - Urban Outfitters
Tights - H&M
Anne Boleyn Necklace - Hampton Court Palace (Gift Shop)
Russian Hat - Topshop
Purple is my new favourite colour. After seeing my friend Jo's new range Nungapunga, that I let you all know about in my last post, I have been ogling this velvety goodness for days. I can't stop touching it, the fabric is amazing. I have wanted a velvet blazer for a while and think I will have to put this on my Christmas list! On my way home from work I like to go into all 5 charity shops that are on our road (it's routine) just to see if I can find any bargains and lo and behold I found these shoes. For £8! And in my size! HURRAH!!! I had been wanting a pair of Chelsea boots for a while now so I couldn't resist. What a bargain. I actually got them last week but it's taken me so long to blog about them. Soz. SOOOO, I went to Hampton Court Palace last month and managed to pick up the Anne Boleyn necklace (not the real one, obvs) from their gift shop. All I could think about when I saw it was UGLY BETTY WEARS THAT!! Soz Anne. Nobody cares about you. I love it. Even though my name doesn't begin with 'B' (Bo? Hmm kinda has a nice ring to it) my boyfriend is called Billy so that's my excuse for wearing it. I have seen some on eBay that you can get made with your own initial. But I like B. Anyhoo, hope you like lovelies. Sorry for the short but sweet post. I'm literally a zombie right now. Early night for meee.

Shift Dress - Nungapunga
Skirt - Topshop
Shoes - Converse
Bracelets - Topshop
Necklace - Azora Rocks
Hi hi hi hi there! So as you have probably noticed, I got my haaaair did. It was just getting so unmanageable as of late so I decided to get a big chop. Actually, I knew I had to wash it and really couldn't be bothered (our shower pressure sucks and it takes like half an hour to get wet I have so much of it!) So I thought I'd get the professionals to do it. And cut it at the same time. Woo. Weirdly, since having it cut my colour is standing out a lot more which is pretty cool!
Anyway, on to the clothes! I won a competition from Azora Rocks where they sent me over £90 worth of jewellery! The necklace I'm wearing is one of the items in my little goody bag which was ACE! I never win anything but lately it seems as if the odds have forever been in my favour.
My lovely friend Jo has just designed her own fashion range called 'Nungapunga' and I'm loving everything about it. This sequin embellished dress, which I'm wearing as a top, has the most beautiful sequin detailing and the fabric isn't cheap either! I have a few chiffon tops/dresses that just tear and look crap with a black bra but this one is a cut above the rest! The name 'nungapunga' actually means 'running around in your birthday suit' in Indian. Pretty cool. I've got a few more items from the collection to show you too which I will do tomorrow. Until then, you can check out all the lovely items on their eBay store here. Have a browse of their blog too here. The collection is only available for a limited time so grab your favourites just in time for the festive season!

Spice up your life...

 Skater Dress - American Apparel
Shoes - Office
Knee High Socks - H&M
Bracelets - Topshop
Fur Collar - eBay
Crop Top - c/o Pop Couture
When I bought these shoes I couldn't help but reminisce about the days when I had so much love for the Spice Girls. Dancing around in front of the mirror proclaiming to everyone to 'slam it to the left, if you're having a good time' (my poor family were definitely not slamming it to the left after enduring my renditions, I can tell you that much.) I loved Baby Spice's flatform boots but could not find them anywhere as I was growing up and so when I saw these, over 10 years later!! I wanted them. They are just so much fun. I choose to block out my boyfriend when he says it looks like I have a clump foot and that I am wearing some orthopaedic style shoes. What does he know anyway? The fact is. I love 'em. It's his birthday on Monday so tonight will be filled with some birthday antics so I shall leave you for now! Happy Saturday! Go and listen to some Spice Girls, now!

Wrap me up in leather...

Jacket - Vintage
Shirt - Topshop
Leggings - c/o Oasap
Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell
Bag - Vintage
Hey guys! I can't believe how cold it is getting!! Literally freezing my butt off every day. I don't own a good pair of gloves either. Boo. But hopefully Santa will be nice to me and bring me some. So I got my leggings from Oasap (visit their website here) and absolutely love them. I've always wanted a pair of cut out wet look leggings and although it isn't technically warm enough to wear them, who cares. They're awesome. My litas have also seen better days. I really should attempt to clean them/take better care of them but hey. The jacket and bag are from one of my favourite charity shops next door to our flat. After seeing a jacket very similar to this at the Melabelle event (post here), but unable to afford it, I figured that this would have to suffice until I could save up the funds (which still hasn't happened, soooo yeah, this one was only £10.) Anyhoo, I asked my boyfriend for this shirt for my birthday but they didn't have it in the Topshop near us when he was looking for it, but luckily we found it on Saturday. My lovely friend Steph who works for Topshop, sent me 15% off friends and family vouchers too! So he got himself a bargain there. I am getting so excited about our Helsinki trip for New Year. After seeing the weather there at the moment, I can't wait to trek around in the snow and see all the beautiful sites! The count down begins!

 Jacket - Goldie London
Dress - c/o Pop Couture
Shoes - Ella Tino Boutique
Necklace - c/o Pop Couture
So guys, here it is!! The dress I chose from the Pop Couture event last week. I absolutely love everything about this dress from the bold skull print to the high neck. When I saw it, I knew instantly what I would wear it with. It just screams punk to me so obviously the jacket was an essential item to team it with. I am lusting after everything in their collection and with such amazing prices for fantastic quality, I will definitely be writing to Santa (or my boyfriend) soon with my top pieces from the collection!  I mean, this dress is £13!! Uuuum helloooo. What more can I say? Frickin' amazin'! Sorry for being rubbish with blogging this week. I promise to make it up to you all this week. Check out the Pop Couture website here. Happy Sunday!
