Into The Woods...

Hey guys! So following on from my last post, this is the last diary style recount of my time at Festival Number 6 with the lovely people from Diesel. We spent the Saturday just milling around, drinking lots of cocktails, eating some amazing food that the stalls had to offer and generally chilling and surviving without our home comforts (no 3G reception anywhere!) We spent the majority of the day at the Belvedere tent, people watching and soaking up the atmosphere.

So, everyone was aware that they were to meet at 21:45 and we would be taken through to woods to a magical exclusive VIP rave that Diesel had put on for all their guests. I decided that comfort was going to get me through the night, so into my super soft leigh skinny's I went, purchased a Festival Number 6 hoody, leather jacket, hat, scarf, you name it! I had it on. Perhaps should have thought about the body heat factor being in such an intimate space. It got very sweaty. This is what awaited us:
Laura and I really got into the 'rave' mood with our face paint! It took the girl about 2 minutes to do the design, I want to learn how to do it (I'm sure it's not hard!)
After a drink and a boogie, Monica and I decided to hit the hay as we were up early the next morning the get back to London.
It was really something! I felt so special to say the least, cheesy, I know. But to be a part of something so creative really was amazing. So, thank you Diesel for such an amazing weekend. You're the best!! Xxxx

Pure Imagination

Hey!!! So, this is my second instalment of my amazing time away at Festival Number 6 with Diesel. Having had a well rested sleep (fully clothed, I might add) and feeling like I was about to roll down to the end of the tent, we decided it was time to explore the magical village of Portmeirion. And boy was it something!
This place was rocking! Ordering freshly squeezed OJ, a posh sausage sandwich - who even cared that you had to wait 30 minutes for it - it was worth it!
This did what it says on the tin really.
I absolutely ADORE this picture. I went to an art gallery (forgotten which one!) and this REALLY reminds me of a painting that I saw there which had cute glitter touches to it which contrasted to some of the random images in the painting but in there was just sooo much going on! I think it pretty much sums up the vibe really. Here's a snippet of the painting - it was pretty big!! So annoying that I can't remember the artist/gallery. It was a long time ago but isn't it strange how one picture can make you think of a specific thing? Crazy.
Portmeirion was designed and built by Sir Clough William Ellis in the style of an Italian village. As soon as you arrive at the entrance, you are immediately transported to another world! You wouldn't think that you were in Wales. The pastel colours, the architecture was all keeping to the Italian theme.
This playsuit is the comfiest thing ever. It's so lightweight and perfect for bouncing around in. I was a little worried about looking a bit stumpy (being a shorty an all) but it wasn't too bad! Fortunately, the sun did decide to show itself so I could actually wear the clothes I took with me and not be freezing my butt off. The bum bag was essential! After my time in Florida, I knew that I had to take it with me. Not worrying about carrying a big bag and just having everything right in front of you was ideal! No rooting around in a panic when there's a photo op! The hat also was about $2 in the Forever 21 outlet store in Florida; you know how much I love a bargain.

Too many wristbands! Not enough champagne.....

Stay tuned for tomorrow's post where things really started to heat up (unfortunately, not weather wise!) Xxxx

Diesel Δ Festival No. 6

Hellooooooo! Sorry I have been slightly MIA lately (you know me) and I say this all the time but I am generally swamped with work. I am finding this whole full time employment by day / blogger by night time double life I continue to lead so hard! Does anyone else just want to get home and crawl under the duvet and cut themselves off from the world? I feel like this every night. Violins please. BUT. Alas. I'm back (for now) and this is my first exciting post about my time away with Diesel at Festival Number 6 in the picturesque little village of Portmeirion in Wales.
Did she just say Wales? Oh yes. Set on the Welsh coast, I can only describe this place as being the most magical backdrop fitting for a fantasy boutique festival.
Diesel surely do know how to treat their guests! I spent the weekend with my tent buddies Laura and Monica from The Elgin Avenue (best. tent. buddies. eveeeer) at Hotel Bell Tent. Kitted out with air beds, Egyptian cotton sheets, duvets and candles, I couldn't have asked for anything more! Except, well, maybe a few layers as I clearly still had my summer head on.
We were fortunate enough to have access to our own bar as residents of the Hotel Bell tent, which stayed open (it seemed) all night! Nevertheless, the detail of everything really did make this experience completely magical.
We spent the first night mainly exploring the site, getting our bearings, and drinking. A lot. Everyone was enjoying the surroundings, the music and soaking up the atmosphere without there being that 'rowdy crowd' everywhere you turned that you are likely to come across at some of the more 'mainstream' festivals (which is what I am more used to, I have to say). This, however, was a new experience which I completely fell in love with.
Everything Everything on the main stage.
Thankfully, I didn't have to queue to get a quick burger from here!
Think of this as a teaser post, I'm slowly luring you in. Count to three. Come with me. And you'll be...In a world of pure imagination. There will be outfit posts tomorrow and more on the little toy land that is also known as Portmeirion. Xxx
